Who we are…
Life can feel unsettled. Every day brings headlines about artificial intelligence, jobs, and what the future might hold. Social media is full of opinions, arguments, and people insisting we take a side. It can leave us worried, divided, and overwhelmed.
God cares about those fears—and everything else in your life. He invites you to bring your worries to Him in prayer, find peace in His presence, and strengthen your faith. He wants to hear from you. And like the father in Jesus’ story of the prodigal son, He welcomes you home with open arms.
A place to belong.
If you’re looking for a group of Christ-followers to help you on that journey, Powell Road Church of Christ can be that place. Whether you’re exploring faith, hoping to grow closer to God, or finding your way back, we invite you to be our guest in Collierville.
Here you’ll find warm, friendly folks with a love for God’s Word, a desire to serve others, and a generous spirit. We value fellowship and the encouragement that comes from sharing life together.
Worship together.
Our worship is simple and centered on God and His Word. We sing together without musical instruments, pray, hear a message from the Bible, and take communion every Sunday to remember Jesus’ sacrifice.
Our worship service lasts about an hour. You’re welcome to join in the singing or simply listen as you become familiar with it.
Grow in God’s Word.
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word. When we have questions about faith or how to live, we look there for direction. We don’t expect everyone who walks through our doors to have the same understanding. We welcome your questions and would be glad to study with you.
We meet Sundays at 9:00 a.m. for Bible study and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. to study the Bible and encourage one another in the middle of a busy week.

We know visiting a church where you don’t know anyone can feel intimidating. When you plan a visit through our Contact page, someone from our church family will reach out by text—no unexpected phone calls or flood of messages. You can ask questions beforehand and have a new friend waiting when you arrive.
No pressure. No sales pitch. Just someone to greet you, introduce you to a few folks, and help you find your way around so you can feel comfortable and at home.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come. Bring your questions, your hopes, and whatever is on your heart. We’d love to meet you—and walk with you as we grow closer to God together.

What We Believe
At Powell Road Church of Christ, we want to follow Jesus and help others know Him. The Bible is where we turn to understand what that means.
God loves us.
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He made us to know Him. Even when we turn away, His love for us remains, and He offers us a way home through Jesus.
Jesus is our Savior.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived among us without sin and gave His life for our sins. His resurrection is the foundation of our hope. Because He lives, we can find forgiveness and look forward to eternal life with Him.
The Bible is our guide.
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word. When we have questions about faith or how to live, we look there for direction. We don’t expect everyone who walks through our doors to have the same understanding. We welcome your questions and would be glad to study with you.
Salvation is God’s gift.
We can’t earn our way into a relationship with God. Salvation comes by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ. That faith calls for a response: turning away from sin and confessing Jesus as Lord. The New Testament also teaches us to be baptized as we begin our life with Him.
Baptism is part of our response to Jesus.
We practice baptism by immersion for the forgiveness of sins. In baptism, we are united with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. We rise to begin a new life, trusting in what God has done for us through His Son.
The church is a family.
The church belongs to Christ, and we seek to follow the teaching and example of the New Testament church. At Powell Road, that means sharing life as a church family. We worship together and help one another keep going when life gets difficult.
Faith goes with us into the week.
Following Jesus reaches beyond Sunday morning. It changes how we treat the person across the table or the neighbor who needs a hand. We’re still learning, and we want our lives to reflect the grace God has shown us.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you visit. Come with your questions. We’d love to get to know you and open the Bible together.
